Fox News: Bossie: Midterm election results mean Trump's 2020 reelection prospects look better than ever

Tuesday’s midterm election results confirm beyond a doubt that President Trump is a political force of nature like we’ve never seen. He has a hugely successful agenda that tens of millions of Americans support wholeheartedly.

The election results bode well for President Trump's re-election prospects in 2020.

The midterms this year will be remembered as an awesome display of American democracy, as voter turnout levels went through the roof in a non-presidential year.

The political experts who historically bemoan the lack of voter participation in midterms saw Americans flock to the polls to weigh in on the most consequential off-year elections in recent memory.

In an unprecedented fashion, President Trump took matters into his own hands by tirelessly campaigning across the country for Republican candidates and making the difference in many high-stakes races.

In a year in which Democrats were supposed to completely dominate in President Trump's first midterm elections, the American people spoke loudly and delivered a mixed bag of results.

Despite the left’s permanent obstruction campaign against the president from Day One and the massive amount of energy it generated, as of this writing the Democrats have lost at least four incumbents in the U.S. Senate and only managed to secure a small majority in the House.

There’s only one way to describe it: there was supposed to be a surefire blue wave hitting our shores, but it didn’t happen.

Fox News: Bossie: Election Day is finally here – President Trump needs your support

It’s Election Day and it’s hard to remember a midterm where the stakes have been higher.

The ads have run. The policies have been put forward. The candidates have made their cases to the American people. Now it’s time to vote.

President Trump made the decision to treat 2018 like a presidential election year. He crisscrossed the country to make his final argument to the voters on behalf of Republican candidates. He presented compelling facts and accomplishments to show voters why it’s in their best interests to vote for Republicans and keep both houses of Congress in GOP hands.

In 2016, Trump campaigned for president as the ultimate political outsider who would come to Washington with fresh ideas and a new way of conducting the nation’s business.

No one gave him a chance. The establishment scoffed at him at every turn. The New York Times and Washington Post were helping Hillary Clinton measure the drapes at the White House. In the face of all that, Trump decided to do even more campaign rallies and overcome all odds to win.

Since Election Day on Nov. 8, 2016, the American left has made it clear that they hate this president more than they love our country, resisting and tarnishing him at every turn. The mainstream media, liberal academia, and the socialists in the Democratic Party launched a coordinated effort to try to end this presidency before it began. They failed miserably.

Fox News: Bossie: Trump successes are boosting GOP candidates in midterms – Don’t expect a blue wave

Many American families – busy getting into their autumn routines of juggling work, school and extra-curricular activities – are just now beginning to focus on who to vote for in the midterm elections Tuesday.

The central question people have to consider is this: Are you better off today than you were two years ago?

A lot has happened in the two years since the American people voted to make Donald Trump our president.

President Trump, the ultimate political outsider, has cemented his reputation as a leader who makes promises and keeps promises.

Despite unprecedented obstruction by Democrats, President Trump and Republicans in Congress have spent the past two years working to enact the president’s America First agenda.

First and foremost, the president's historic tax cut and deregulation program have kicked our economy into overdrive. Millions of jobs have been created. Unemployment is at its lowest level since 1969.

Fox News: David Bossie: Anti-Trump and anti-GOP mobs act like thugs, while Trump-hating media spare them criticism

The anti-Trump media – obsessed with spreading negative and often inaccurate coverage of the president – continue to ignore the dangerous violence, intimidation tactics, threats, bullying and harassment by the professional paid left-wing protest industry.

While the mainstream media had no problem wrongly labeling peaceful Tea Party protesters in 2010 as “the mob,” they are closing their eyes to the real unhinged mob behavior emanating now from the radical left.

What will it take for the political operatives in the mainstream media to snap out of their Trump Derangement Syndrome and at long last say it’s time for their allies on the far left to tone it down?

Wednesday the violence from the left reared its ugly head yet again. An employee of the George Soros-funded Democratic thug operation American Bridge 21st Century, founded by David Brock, was arrested on a battery charge.

Mike Stark was accused of grabbing and twisting the arm of the female campaign manager for Nevada Republican gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt, and of refusing to let go of the woman.

Fox News: Bossie: In Kavanaugh confirmation battle, Democrats show they don’t deserve to win control of Congress

The intensity of the fight over Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination has caused the American people to focus on national politics earlier than usual for a midterm election year – and that’s bad news for the Democrats.

With the Nov. 6 elections rapidly drawing near, Republicans and Democrats have been auditioning for control of Congress on national television at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Kavanaugh’s nomination to the high court. The onslaught of political TV advertising has not yet fully begun, but the American people have gotten a taste of what’s at stake on Election Day.

Historically, midterm elections are known for their low voter turnout in comparison to presidential elections. But this November promises to be different. Not only are both houses of Congress up for grabs, but so is President Trump’s agenda – and frankly, the Trump presidency itself.

The American people have witnessed the putrid politics of personal destruction emanating from the Washington swamp over the past two weeks.

The FBI is now conducting its seventh background check of Kavanaugh. President Trump ordered the week-long investigation because he felt it was the right and reasonable thing to do. Take a minute to juxtapose this exercise in presidential leadership with the Democratic circus in the Senate at the confirmation hearing for Kavanaugh.

Now that the Democrats have gotten their investigation of Kavanaugh, it will not be enough. When this investigation concludes, they will undoubtedly ask for an eighth investigation to delay his confirmation past the election.
